mood:
giggly
I am eating instant kimchi noodle soup. HOLY FUCK YOU GUYS. this shit cost like a dollar and it's so spicy it's making my eyes water just from SMELLING IT. fuck I love kimchi so much. I really don't even know what else korea has done, or where it is on a map, all I know is that it's full of asian people and they created kimchi and for that I owe them my life.
in news unrelated to spicy things that are skullfucking my sinuses, I have been listening exclusively to music from canada lately. my hypothesis: canada is the new britain. Y/N/M? I would make an estimate that probably 40% of the bands on my ipod are canadian, which, logically, should make me 40% canadian by proxy. so, because I love all of you, and I love canada, and I love kimchi, and I am in a really loving mood today, I am going to seduce you into downloading my current favorite album by a bunch of weirdo canadians called bruce peninsula.
I guess they are like "folk" or "gospel" or something, although idk, "gospel" just makes me think of portly women in robes singing about jesus but this is not like that. it's a collective of somewhere around 11 people and they sing a lot of pretty harmonies, and there's a lot of tambourine and foot-stomping and weirdness. also, they have two drummers, which is 4 less than slipknot, but also 1 more than most bands, which means they are 50% more awesome than most bands, and 400% less retarded than slipknot (my math is flawless, shut your mouth). basically YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH THIS BAND.

Bruce Peninsula - A Mountain Is a Mouth
DOWNLOAD IT. SERIOUSLY. FUCK.

have you heard of mother mother, before?
this is a fan video which you should totally ignore visually - but love the song. LOVE IT
if nothing else the absurd harmonies and catchy dance beats should make you twirl around.
if you want to exchange canadian loves - let me know. i'm a huge supporter of indie acts from around here... i cook for a vegetarian/vegan organic fair trade coffee house in a small northern ontario town and we have tons of bands coming through playing shows here constantly.
i could hook you up!
thanks for that album too, by the way!

I only use half the packet of spicy stuff because it is DEADLY.
I can handle my spices, but it's just over the top.. it burns in the back of the throat, not the tongue. Makes you cough like a mothafukka.
